Trade in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants is a hot conservation issue in Nepal. Every year in Nepal, large volumes of such plants are collected unscientifically and traded causing depletion of resources and degradation of habitats and hence several plant species are in state of extinction. Furthermore, indigenous knowledge on the uses of the plants and the essentials of their medicinal value are declining.

Our initiatives have brought awareness about the importance of conservation of medicinal plants through implementing improved techniques for harvesting, agreed to abide by stricter harvest limits. We believe in country like Nepal, sustainable development is only possible through empowerment of people living in the rural areas. We encourage remote farmers for sustainable farming of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, which has high export potential. We are dedicated in developing a market for such medicinal herbs and establishing parameters for supply and demand economics appropriate for this region of the world. Our mission is to harness economic power in the rural community of Nepal by creating a responsible, socially just and environmentally sustainable society.
